As human’s we are meant to heal, change, grow and expand.

As we grow then we inspire others around us to grow creating a ripple effect of expanding awareness.

My work is my life’s calling and I have been provided the gift to hold space and facilitate others healing journey’s. There is nothing more I am passionate about then supporting and facilitating transformation and change within individuals to live more authentically with meaning in effect inspiring and making a greater difference.

Feeling honored to have been guided to spiritual teachers and elders from across the globe I feel I have been called to act as a bridge between the West and traditional spirituality to contribute in normalizing spirituality in becoming a fundamental element, as is the mental, emotional and physical in supporting people’s recovery, healing, growth and development.

Hello, I’m Nadinne

I’m a clinical psychotherapist offering traditional psychotherapeutic practice informed by shamanic teachings.

I provide a nurturing space to help you process your emotional pain to overcome blocks and limitations. From grief to past trauma to the breakdown of relationships, I can support you to interpret your experiences, work through your trauma to live more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I combine western psychology with approaches from traditional spirituality and shamanic training advocating the importance of community, bringing ceremony and ritual back to modern day living with the aim of normalising spiritually knowing it is with a holistic approach of the physical, emotional and spiritual in which we heal.

official Bio

Nadinne Dyen

(BA) Hon, DIP, (MA), MBACP and Student of Mastro Manuel Rufino of the Initiatic Linage and Makhosi Sarah Wager alongside Makhosi Baba Muvo Ngcobo from the Sangoma Tradition of South Africa and Moughenda Mikala of the Bwiti Tradition, Gabon.

Having experienced significant trauma in my childhood, I know firsthand how painful it can be. And the lengths people will go to in order to numb that pain. But we can only run away for so long before our wounds demand that we face them and heal. The only way out is through.

This understanding is a cornerstone of my practice and way of being in the world. It led to my passion for working with vulnerable children and young people eventually, psychotherapy which completely changed my life. And supported me to make sense of my history to better identify my needs and desires which then led me to set up a therapy centre for those who have experienced significant trauma.

In recent years I have trained with elders across the globe but focus now on my training in Bwiti of Gabon and the Sangoma tradition of South Africa. These ancient schools of wisdom have deepened my belief in the power of the spirit―everything we need to heal is already within us. With research and training in the medical and spiritual use of the sacred Iboga plant medicine from the Bwiti Tradition, a psycho-active plant that builds new neurological pathways known to support trauma recovery.

I have lived my life from the heart, open to all its beauty and sorrow and welcoming its lessons as a chance to heal and grow. Learning the need to lead not only from the heart but also the mind and a place of intuition. Learning grief and loss comes with gifts. Knowing we are only as sick as our secrets and it’s within safety, taking the courage in sharing our vulnerability in which starts the process of healing.

NAOS Charity

NAOS is an intercultural therapy centre set up as a not for profit that offers a range of western therapeutic approaches and techniques to adults, young people, children, families that have experienced significant trauma.

The organisation was set up with the collective belief that therapy should be accessible to all and recovery is possible. Our team of over 30 therapists work with some of the most disadvantaged, complex and hard to reach people. NAOS have developed models of working that safely reach out to those in need and to those who may struggle to engage with traditional clinical therapy.

NAOS started from the understanding that for an organisation to be accessible it needs to be inclusive and consistent with the different cultural backgrounds, world-views, traditions and languages of the multicultural community in which we live.

When in South Africa someone told me what the longest road in Africa is… It’s not the road from Cairo to Cape Town it’s the way from your head to your heart and from the there to hear and now.
